Sri Lankan observers to monitor Bangladesh elections

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Nine international organizations and groups, including observers from Sri Lanka and a dozen foreign missions in Bangladesh are set to observe or watch the upcoming election in Bangladesh with their 188 observers and watchers, the Dhaka Tribune reported.

The Bangladesh Foreign Ministry has said 188 foreign observers and 56 foreign journalists are set to cover the 11th parliamentary elections on Sunday.

“The forthcoming 11th National Parliament Election scheduled on 30 December 2018 is going to be widely observed .by the foreign observers and journalists,” claimed the ministry in a press release.

Nine international organizations and groups and a dozen foreign missions in Bangladesh are set to observe or watch the upcoming election with their 188 observers and watchers, it said.
