Resigned Ministers sworn back to office

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The Cabinet, State and Deputy ministers who recently resigned from their Ministerial portfolios took oaths in new portfolios in the government yesterday evening. They were sworn in before President Maithripala Sirisena at the President’s official residence, Presidential Media Division sources said.

Accordingly, Rauf Hakeem was sworn-in as the Minister of City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education; Rishad Bathiudeen as Minister of Industry and Commerce, Resettlement and Cooperatives Development, Vocational Training and Skills Development; Amir Ali Seyed Mohommad Sihabeen as the State Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Economic Affairs and Abdulla Maharoof as the Deputy Minister of Port and Shipping.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister Buddhika Pathirana took oaths as State Minister of Industry and Commerce, Resettlement, Cooperatives Development, Vocational Training and Skills Development, before President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday.
