Police officers of Presidential Commission on Easter Sunday attacks visit former President at his residence

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Officers from the Police Unit of the Presidential Commission probing Easter Sunday attacks arrived this morning at the official residence of former President and current parliamentarian Maithripala Sirisena to record a statement regarding the last year’s bomb attacks.

The officials had visited the former President’s official residence at Paget Road, Colombo.

Mr. Sirisena was informed on Aug 21 to appear before the Police Unit of the Presidential Commission today (26) to make a statement.

However, the former President had informed the Police Unit of the Commission that he could not attend the police unit and that they should come to his Colombo residence and obtain the statement.
