Three more COVID-19 deaths reported in Sri Lanka Wednesday raising total deaths to 157

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Sri Lanka reported three more deaths due to COVID-19 this morning raising the death toll from the viral disease to 157, according to health authorities.

The Director General of Health Services Wednesday confirmed the following deaths of COVID-19 infected patients and accordingly the total number of deaths from COVID-19 infected patients reported from Sri Lanka is 157.

01. A 60 year old female from Colombo-14 area has died at a private hospital on 14 December 2020. Death was reported on 15 December. The cause of death is pneumonia associated with COVID-19.

02. An 85 year old male from Colombo-15 area died on December 12, 2020 at home. Death was reported on 15 December. The leading cause of death was pneumonia associated with the COVID-19 infection.

02. An 84 year old male from Colombo-15 Mattakkuliya area died on December 12, 2020 on admission to the Colombo National Hospital. Death was reported on 15 December. The leading cause of death was pneumonia associated with the COVID-19 infection.
