COVID-19 death toll rises to 211 in Sri Lanka with three more deaths

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Sri Lanka confirmed four deaths on Saturday due to COVID-19 raising the death toll from the viral disease to 211, according to health authorities.

The Director General of Health Services confirmed following three deaths caused by COVID-19 virus infection and accordingly the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 211 by now.

01. The deceased is a 93 year old female from Colombo-13 area. She has died on 30 December 2020 at home. The cause of death is mentioned as multi complications associated with COVID-19.

02. The deceased is a male around 70 – 80 of age whose identity has not been verified. He was found in Maradana police division and died on 30.12.2020. The cause of death is COIVD-19 infection.

03. The deceased is a 76 year old male from Colombo-12 area. He was diagnosed as infected with Covid -19 virus at a private hospital in Colombo and transferred to Base Hospital Homagama where he died on 02.01.2021. The cause of death is COVID-19 pneumonia and complicated kidney infection.
