(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva steps will be taken to develop Galle port as a tourist port.
The Minister mentioned this while attending an observation tour of Galle Port to find out about its development plans.
Galle Port, which has a very long history, is planned to be developed with identified opportunities in the future of the world and a group of investors have already come forward for that, the Minister said.
Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva emphasized that the development of Galle port is a national interest and assured that no employee’s jobs will be affected in the new development program.
