Charges for foreign flights to boost tourism

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority together with the Prime Minister’s office, the Ministry of Tourism and the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka tabled a cabinet paper on Monday and received the approval for the reduction of ground handling charges, aviation fuel, and the embarkation levy for all international flights for 6 months.

First Time Re-do Minimally Invasive Direct Aortic Artery Bypass Surgery (MIDCAB) at Durdans Heart Centre

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Durdans Heart Centre successfully performed Re-do (re-operative) Minimally Invasive Direct Aortic Artery Bypass Surgery (Re-do CABG) on a cardiac patient who had gone through a bypass surgery18 years ago. This is also the first time that a“re-do” MIDCAB surgery through a small incision on the left side of the chesthas beenperformed in Sri Lanka.
