Dr. Coomaraswamy: CB Governor of the Year, South Asia

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – The Central Bank of Sri Lanka announces that Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy, Governor, Central Bank of Sri Lanka has been named Central Bank Governor of the Year, South Asia, by the Global Capital at Global Capital Markets Awards ceremony in Washington DC on 14th October, which coincides with the World Bank-IMF Annual meetings.

President urged Pakistan to invest in sugar and cement industries

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – President Maithripala Sirisena emphasized the need for further expanding economic relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. He made this statement when Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Ms. Tehmina Janjua called on him at the Presidential Secretariat today (October 17).
