Fishermen in 5 Coastal Districts of Tamil Nadu begin indefinite fast

(NAGAPATTINAM, LANKAPUVATH) – Fishermen in Rameswaram on Tuesday (14) ended their week-long protest over the killing of a colleague, allegedly by the Sri Lankan Navy, while those from Tamil Nadu’s 5 Coastal Districts began an indefinite fast over the issue and to press for other demands, the Press Trust of India reported.

Sri Lanka’s first Ambassador to Ethiopia presents credentials

(ADDIS ABABA, LANKAPUVATH) – Sri Lanka’s first resident Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Sumith Dassanayake presented Credentials to the President of Ethiopia Mulatu Teshome at the Presidential Palace in Addis Ababa on Thursday (09).
