(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Cloudy skies and showers will occur over the most parts of the island during next few days, the Meteorological Department said.
Showers or thundershowers will occur over most parts of the island after 2.00 p.m.
Heavy falls of about 75-100 mm will occur in the Western and Sabaragamuwa, Central, Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Galle,Matara, Vauniya and Mullaitivu districts.
The Meteorological Department requested the general public to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity
