(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The Ministry of Education, for the first time, is organizing an Educational, Career Guidance and Trade Exhibition at the Kuliyapitiya Madya Maha Vidyalaya from October 3 -7.
According to the Minister of Education, Akila Viraj Kariyawasam the exhibition aims to provide students presently studying for their O/Level and A/Level examinations as well as the students who have been unsuccessful at their O/Level and A/Level examinations a new insight into the new areas of studies introduced by the government.
The exhibition is expected to enable the students to connect with the organizations that provide opportunities that would fit their talents and capabilities, while receiving career guidance advisory services.
The Minister added that arrangements have been made to provide students with career advice, in collaboration with government, semi-government and private sector organizations.
The Ministry of Education intends to organize three exhibitions of this type island wide, every year. The next exhibitions have been planned in the Galle and Kandy districts.
