(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The enhancement of showery condition is expected to continue in next few days. Cloudy skies also can be expected over the island today.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at most places over the island.
Heavy falls about 100-150 mm will occur at some places in Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Fairly heavy falls about 100 mm can be expected at some places in Western, Uva, North-western and Eastern provinces.
There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
