(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s Media Coordinator and the former chairman of Carlton Sports Network has been appointed as the Prime Minister Rajapaksa’s Media Secretary.
Weliwita has received the appointment letter from Secretary to the President S. Amarasekara.
Weliwita was the media secretary of Mahinda Rajapaksa when Rajapaksa was the Minister of Fisheries and Opposition Leader as well as the Prime Minister. Weliwita served as a coordinating secretary President Rajapaksa’s presidency.
