(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – The wife and children of the deceased Sergeant Niroshan Indika Prasanna, who was killed during a police checkpoint in Batticaloa, met with the President at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday afternoon (11th).
President Sirisena expressed his deep condolences over the death of Niroshan Indika Prasanna.
The President also said that he will continue to look after the welfare of his four and half year old son and the welfare of his family.
The President also took the initiative to appoint Nadeeka Lakmali, the wife of Niroshan Indika Prasanna’s as a Development Officer for Nagoda in the Divisional Secretariat Division in Galle.
