(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The CID had questioned Singer Amal Perera’s son Nadeemal Perera at length today over the connection between Makandure Madush, Amal Perera and DIG Nalaka Silva.
He was summoned to the CID and questioned regarding the conspiracy to assassinate President Maithripala Sirisena and former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
A senior police official said that Nadeemal had divulged all the information he knew regarding the connection between Madush, Amal Perera and DIG Nalaka Silva.
Nadeemal had told the police that he had no connection with Madush and that it was his father Amal Perera who had close ties with Makandure Madush and Nalaka Silva and that it was his father who had taken him to Dubai for the function.
