(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Police have apprehended a total of 2,280 drunken drivers in the past week during its special island wide operations, Police said.
A special island-wide operation was commenced from July 5 to apprehend motorists driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police said 243 druken drivers were nabbed during the 24 hours ended at 6am today.
