(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Public Administration Disaster Management and Rural Economy Minister Ranjith Madduma Bandara said steps have been taken to provide compensation of Rs. 250,000 / – for the families who lost their lives in the recent floods.
The Minister said that Rs. 27.0 million has been allocated to repair the damaged houses, at a cost of Rs. 10,000.00 immediately. has already disbursed Rs 15,000 each as temporary relief to assist in the repairs of around 3000 houses which had been destroyed by the floods.
