Sri Lanka limits access to airport terminals only for passengers from today

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – The Airport and Aviation Authority has decided to allow only passengers to enter the airport from today. The visitors accompanying the passengers will not be allowed to enter the arrival or departure lobbies.

The program will be implemented from 6.00 am today (28). The chairman of the Authority has taken the decision to contain the spread of coronavirus through the air passengers.

Accordingly, visitors dropping off departing passengers and receiving arriving passengers are prohibited from entering the airport premises.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi and the members of the National Action Committee appointed to prevent the coronavirus spreading in the country paid an emergency visit to the airport to observe the measures taken to prevent coronavirus outbreak.
