Chinese Ambassador calls on Sri Lanka Premier to discuss Sri Lankans in Wuhan

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – The Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Cheng Xueyuan has called on Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday to discuss the current health crisis.

The Prime Minister in a Twitter message said the Ambassador called on him to discuss the wellbeing of Sri Lankans in Wuhan.

The Chinese Ambassador has assured the Prime Minister that his government is taking all measures to contain the new coronavirus outbreak.

The Premier said both Sri Lanka and China are currently working together to arrange for a special flight to fly out the Sri Lankans in Wuhan at the earliest.
