(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – A section of the Southern Expressway between Pinnaduwa and Imaduwa areas has been temporarily closed, police said.
A mound of earth has collapsed on the Southern Expressway due to heavy rains this morning (20). As a result, traffic on the road has been disrupted.
The police have taken steps to divert traffic through the Pinnaduwa and Imaduwa exits.
Meanwhile, the National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has issued landslide warnings for Colombo, Kalutara, Kegalle, Ratnapura and Galle districts until 9.00 am tomorrow.
