Sri Lanka to develop 2,600 new tourist attractions

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Sri Lanka has identified 2,600 new tourist attractions that have not yet been used for the tourism industry

Minister in charge of the subject Prasanna Ranatunga says that steps have already been taken to develop these sites expeditiously.

The Minister said when tourists start to arrive in the country with the opening of the airport, these places will be developed into 2,600 new tourist destinations.

The Minister said that the development work being carried out at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport will be expanded so that more tourists can visit the country at the same time.
