(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –A close associate of three powerful underworld gang leaders ‘Podi Lasi’, ‘Karandeniya Sudda’ and Dasan Manawadu, was arrested with stock of ammunition by the Jayawadenapura Police Special task Force torday.
Among the weapons seized were 3 firearms including a T56 firearm with 98 bullets, 53(9mm) bullets, 4 (bore 12) bullets, hand grenade, 2 Smoke grenades, one handcuff and 4 magazines, Police said.
The suspect was produced before the Balapitiya Magistrate’s Court today.
