(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 343 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Thursday.
Among the positive cases identified Thursday are, 303 associates of the Peliyagoda COVID-19 cluster, 09 associates of prison cluster and 34 foreign arrivals.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 11:55 pm Thursday, a total of 94,336 COVID-19 cases have been reported and 2,699 infected patients are being treated at hospitals. Another 316 individuals are currently under investigations in hospitals.
Two deaths due to COVID-19 were reported on Thursday raising the total to 593 and 91,044 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
Up to Thursday, a total of 924,758 individuals have been vaccinated.
