(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Sri Lanka for the eighth consecutive day set an all-time high for coronavirus cases Monday, reporting over 1900 individuals confirmed positive for COVID-19.
According to Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 1,923 new COVID-19 cases were reported so far on Monday.
Among the positive cases identified Monday are, 1,913 associates from the New Year COVID-19 cluster and 10 persons arrived from overseas.
According to the Epidemiology Unit report at 10 pm Monday, a total of 113,676 COVID-19 cases have been reported and 14,758 infected patients are being treated at hospitals.
Thirteen deaths due to COVID-19 were reported so far on Monday raising total to 709 and 98,209 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
