(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –All inter-provincial bus services under the control of the National Transport Commission (NTC) will be suspended from midnight today (11), the Transport Commission said.
According to the State Minister Dilum Amunugama, the use of buses for essential services will be announced later.
The decision to suspend inter-provincial bus services was taken following the President’s order to restrict travel between the provinces until May 30 in view of the COVID situation.
Meanwhile, train services have been restricted to operate within the provinces.
