(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – The Ministry of Trade has taken steps to provide a relief package to Sathosa customers and a ‘Sahana Malla’ (relief bag) containing 10 items for Rs.1000 will be available for purchase through the Sathosa (CWE) outlets from Monday (May 31), Minister of Trade Bandula Gunawardena said.
The Minister said the CWE will implement the most efficient and hygienic methods to provide quality goods to the people at the lowest possible prices.
The Rs.1000 relief bag includes one kilogram each of Nadu rice, red raw rice, wheat flour, red dhal, noodles and white sugar, 200 grams of Thai sprats, 100 grams of tea, a packet of salt powder and a face mask.
People can order Rs. 1000 and Rs. 5,000 relief bags and customized list of items through www.lankasathosa.lk online service and 1998 hotline.
