Sri Lanka extends travel restrictions until June 14

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Island wide travel restrictions now in force has been extended without break till 4.00am on Monday, 14 June 2021, General Shavendra Silva, Commander of the Army and the head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID— 19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) announced today.Sri Lanka extends travel restrictions until June 14

Earlier travel restrictions were imposed until June 7 in order to control the third wave of COVID-19.

District Secretaries and Divisional Secretaries have been instructed to organize mobile sales services to provide essential food items during the period of travel restriction so that the public can purchase their needs without leaving home.
