Officials at PM’s Office instructed to work from home

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – Officials of the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministries under the Prime Minister have been instructed to perform their duties from home.

The Prime Minister’s Office has taken this step in the face of the crisis over fuel and power supply, according to the Prime Minister’s official Facebook account.

The Prime Minister said at a time when the country is facing an unprecedented challenge, he has instructed the officials of the Prime Minister’s Office and his Ministries to carry out their duties from home as one of the steps to save fuel.

The Premier said he is grateful that these officers are performing their duties to the best of their ability, even in the absence of an uninterrupted power supply.

“Despite many difficulties, we have a recent history of overcoming many challenges, including the Thirty Years of Terrorism and the Covid Plague, with the patience and support of the people. Let us join hands to overcome this challenge also in the name of the motherland,” Prime Minister Rajapaksa said.
