(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – Kenichi Yokoyama, Director General of the South Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), says the ADB expects to provide support to Sri Lanka in a number of sectors to overcome the difficult situation the country is facing.
The ADB official Kenichi Yokoyama made this disclosure when an ADB delegation met President Ranil Wickramasinghe at the President’s Office yesterday morning (12).
A preliminary discussion was held at the Presidential Secretariat today between the Asian Development Bank and the Government of Sri Lanka focusing on several areas where the ADB can provide support and bilateral cooperation to the Government of Sri Lanka to overcome the current crisis, President’s Media Division said.
Attention was focused on several areas where bilateral cooperation between the Asian Development Bank and the Government of Sri Lanka can be achieved.
Asian Development Bank’s Resident Mission Director Chen Chen, Deputy Director Utsav Kumar and President’s Senior Adviser on National Security and Chief of Presidential Staff Sagala Ratnayake attended the event.
