(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The government has decided to pay a special advance to government employees for the next year.
The Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government has issued a circular yesterday (30) stating that this Special Advance amount for the year 2023 should not exceed Rs. 4,000.
The payment of this advance should commence on 01 January 2023 and be completed on 28 February 2023. No payment should be made after February 28.
This advance should be completely recovered within the year 2023.
This circular has been issued by the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government, M.M.P.K. Mayadunne with the concurrence of the General Treasury.
