Freedu aims to promote free education in Sri Lanka

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – An EdTech company still in its R&D phase is making headlines for its mission to make free education accessible to all.

Freedu is an EdTech company based in Sri Lanka, founded with the objective of facilitating free education, grants, and scholarships to make educational opportunities accessible to everyone who wishes to advance academically, broaden their knowledge, or develop new skills.

During its soft launch, Freedu provided a Healthcare Management Certificate Course at the National Institute of Labour Studies, where Dr. Randika Goonatilleke became the first recipient of the initiative.

Elmo Pereira leads the company as its Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, drawing on his experience and expertise to guide the initiative’s growth and success.

Thanura Gamage serves as the Director Marketing, ensuring that the company’s finances are in order as it pursues its initiatives.

According to Pereira, with their commitment to making education accessible through exclusive partnerships and new technologies, Freedu is envisioned to revolutionise education technology.
