India to help Sri Lanka in strengthening its energy sector

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – A high-level Indian delegation led by the Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, is currently on a visit to Sri Lanka with the aim of strengthening collaboration on hydrocarbon and energy-related initiatives and projects, the Indian High Commission in Colombo said in a tweet on Saturday.

Due to the public sector engaging in business, funds that were allocated for 100 projects during the past decade were lost

IMF Executive Board approves US$3 billion under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) arrangement for Sri Lanka

(LANKAPUVATH | Washington, DC) – The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved today a 48‑month extended arrangement under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) with an amount of SDR 2.286 billion (395 percent of quota or about US$3 billion).
