Court refuses injunction against Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – The Colombo District Court today rejected the petition filed by Duminda Dissanayake seeking an interim injunction preventing Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe from functioning as the Chairman and Keerthi Udawatta as Acting General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).

3rd capacity building programme for Sri Lankan civil servants commences at Mussoorie

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) –  The National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) in Mussoorie has launched the 3rd Capacity Building Program for the senior civil servants of Sri Lanka. This two-week programme, running from May 13 to May 24, 2024, brings together 41 senior civil servants from various key departments of the Sri Lankan government.

Twenty more sacred areas to be gazetted this year

(LANKAPUVATH | COLOMBO) – Twenty more places of religious worship are expected to be gazetted this year as sacred areas, while nine places have already been gazetted so far, the National Physical Planning Department said.
