(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The representatives of the Federation of Finnish Industry said that they are willing to invest and explore business opportunities in Sri Lanka.
This was emphasized at a breakfast meeting they held with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and members of the Finnish Industry Federation yesterday (10th Oct.).
The entrepreneurs of the Federation who are doing business with Sri Lanka said that an investor friendly environment is being created in Sri Lanka.
Prime Minister Wickremesinghe said that the era has dawned to change the economic concepts to suit the new world economic trends. The regional market concept is old fashioned now while the global market concept is the trend therefore industries should be continued understanding this reality.
The Chairman at the discussion Deputy Executive Chairman of Wartsila Kari Hietanen said the aim of Sri Lanka to develop as the hub of Indian Ocean is very important.
As Sri Lanka and Finland are two small nations who stand for the same economic and social goals and a common platform has been established to strengthen economic and social ties.
