(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Sri Lanka Social Security National Award Ceremony – 2017, held today (Nov. 06) at the Nelum Pokuna Theatre, under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.
The President presented awards and certificates to the government officers who achieved their goals using the pensions and social security benefit system, carried out by Sri Lanka Social Security Board.
The task of the Sri Lanka Social Security Board is to provide social security benefits to all those who are not getting the benefits of the government’s pension. Self-employers, private sector employers, foreign employers, artists and indigenous doctors etc are benefitted under this program.
Minister S. B. Dissanayake, Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake, Secretary to the Ministry of Social Empowerment, Welfare and Kandyan Heritage, Shirani Weerakoon and the Chairman of Sri Lanka Social Security Board Keerthi Suranjith Mawellage were among those participated in this occasion.
