(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Kosgoda police say that a German national was critically wounded in a shooting that took place around 9.00 pm yesterday in front of a hotel in Kosgoda in the Induruwa area.
The victim has been admitted to the Kalutara Nagoda hospital and is receiving treatment.
According to the Kosgoda Police, two persons who had arrived on a motorbike with a T56 firearm shot at the German national and his business partner.
The German national and his business partner, a resident of Induruwa have just arrived at a hotel the latter was building when the two unidentified gunmen on a motorbike shot at them. The hotel owner has also received minor injuries.
The suspects have fled after the shooting.
Kosgoda Police are conducting further investigations.
