(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) Customs apprehended a Polish national who attempted to smuggle in 100 gold biscuits worth around Rs. 65 million to Sri Lanka at the Green Channel of the Arrival Terminal this morning.
The gold which weighed around 10 kilograms was concealed in his waist belt the Customs Officers said.
Further investigations are underway.
