(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –South Africa took an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match ODI series against Sri Lanka after beating them by 78 runs on Sunday.
Chasing 364, Sri Lanka were bundled out for 285.
South Africa began the chase in an emphatic fashion as they reduced the hosts to 155/6 before Dhanajaya de Silva and Akila Danajaya joined hands and took on the South African bowling.
They put 95 for the 7th wicket before Dananjaya departed. But de Silva continued his aggressive batting before getting out for 84 to Phelukwayo. Earlier, South Africa rode on Reeza Hendricks’ 102 to post 363/7 in 50 overs.
