Rs. 100 imposed to obtain new NICs, Rs. 500 for duplicates

(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –An amount of Rs. 100 will be charged when obtaining the National Identity Cards (NICs) with effect from 01 September, 2018.

Furthermore, a fee of Rs. 500 will be charged in respect of the duplicate of NIC with effect from the aforementioned date.
