(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – President Maithripala Sirisena visited the Ministry of Lands and observed its functioning Thursday(Nov 13).
After inquiring into process of granting title deeds at the Land Commissioner General’s Department, the President explained the necessity of make more efficient those activities to provide valuable service to the public.
Also, President Sirisena pointed out the importance of fulfilling duties of the department in a more systematic manner, to achieve success in National Programme for the Grant of One Million Deeds in 2019 a success.
Secretary for the Ministry of Mahaweli Development Mr. Anura Dissanayake, and several other senior officials also present at the occasion.
