(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Fifteen people who were arrested over the recent rioting incidents in Minuwangoda were released on bail this morning.
During today’s hearing, 19 suspects involved in the riots were produced before the Minuwangoda Magistrate’s Court.
However, four of them were discharged from the case after Police informed court that they were not involved in the recent unrest.
Minuwangoda Magistrate Keshara Samaradivakara ordered that the other 15 suspects be released on surety bails of Rs 200,000 each.
However, the Magistrate instructed the suspects to appear before court again on July 10.
