(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – The Venerable Athuraliye Rathana Thero, who was admitted to the Kandy General hospital after calling off a hunger strike, was discharged from the Kandy hospital today.
Athuraliye Rathana Thero staged a hunger strike opposite the Sri Dalada Maligawa temple (Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic) demanding the removal of Minister Rishad Bathiudeen and Governors M.L.A.M Hizbullah and Azath Salley.
He called off the fast after all three resigned.
