(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – A total number of 1763 motorists have been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol from July 5 to July 10, the police media said.
A special island-wide operation was commenced from last Friday, in order to apprehend drunk drivers.
Accordingly 263 drunk drivers were arrested from July 9, 6.00am to July 10, 6.00am.
