(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – Six acre plot of land has been allocated for the construction of a new court complex due to the inadequate space in the dilapidated buildings in the Colombo Hulftsdorf courts complex.
Accordingly, to replace the dilapidated court buildings, a 12 storied building with 40 court rooms, an eight storied building for the Ministry of Justice and Prison Reforms, an eight storied building for a training center for judges and an eight-story building for new legal center are to be constructed.
The cabinet approval has been granted to allocate US $ 94.55 million for the construction of the new court premises.
