(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) – A total number of 7437 motorists have been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol from July 5 to August 6 the police media said.
A special island-wide operation was commenced from July 5 , in order to apprehend drunk drivers.
Accordingly 119 drunk drivers were arrested from August 5, 6.00am to August 6, 6.00am.
