(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The seventh round of talks between the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) has commenced this morning at the office of the SLPP leader Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Previously, there were about six discussions between the two parties. The talks had been stalled for about a month.
General Secretary of SLFP, MP Dayasiri Jayasekara, MP Mahinda Amaraweera and MP Lasantha Alagiyawanna will be representing the SLFP at the discussion.
The team from the SLPP is led by national organizer Basil Rajapaksa. His will be joined by MP Dullas Alahapperuma and party Chairman Prof. G.L. Peiris.
