(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The conduct of additional classes for students sitting the 2019 GCE Ordinary Level Examination will be prohibited from midnight today till the conclusion of the exam.
The Department of Examinations said the conduct of lectures, conferences and workshops will also be prohibited until the 12th of December.
The display of banners, posters, circulation of handbills and the publication of model papers through print and electronic medium are prohibited.
The Department requested the public to inform the nearest Police Station of any malpractices or if any individual or establishment is found to be in violation of the regulations issued by the government.
Complaints can also be lodged with the Department via the 1911 hotline.
The 2019 GCE O/L level exam will be worked-off from the 2nd to the 12th of December. A total of 717,308 students will be sitting the examination at 4,987 centres.
