(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission has advised the general public against returning calls from unknown international numbers.
Issuing a notice, the TRC urged mobile phone users to inform 1700 through SMS in the event of receiving any calls or messages from unknown foreign numbers.
“If you receive unknown international missed calls or SMS do not callback, instead inform 1700 via SMS of such calls,” they said.
