(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –Minister of Foreign & European Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Mr. Jean Asselborn will pay an official visit to Sri Lanka from 30-31 January.
The Foreign Ministry said that Jean Asselborn will arrive in Sri Lanka on 30th following his visit to India.
He is scheduled to hold talks with the Sri Lankan Government including President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minsiter Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Foreign Relations Minister Dinesh Gunawardena on several bilateral matters during the visit.
The official discussions between Foreign Minister Gunawardena and his Luxembourg counterpart are expected to review the bilateral engagement and open new avenues of cooperation in the economic, aviation, tourism and science and technology sectors, the Foreign Relations Ministry said.
Close engagement in the multilateral fora, including with the European Union to pursue shared solutions to common challenges will also feature in the discussions.
