(COLOMBO, LANKAPUVATH) –The Police will issue Police Clearance Certificates through an online service as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
This decision has been taken as the number of patients infected with the Coronavirus in Sri Lanka has risen to 11.
However, a Police Media Division statement noted that we cannot ignore the fact that there is a possibility of infected people, who have not been identified so far, still among the general public.Therefore, the Police Media Division also stated that the offices set up to accept the applications for Police Clearance Certificates will be closed for two weeks.Accordingly, Police Clearance Certificates will be issued via online service, the Police said.
